Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Defined – Real Causes & Solutions

In today’s article, I’m going to discuss “ED”, which stands for erectile dysfunction. I’m doing this topic because I get a lot of questions about it

    • What’s the true definition?
    • What causes it?
    • What are the best solutions?

And the truth is, that if you’re a guy reading this article, I don’t want you to feel “alone” or “ashamed”. Trust me, this is a lot more common of a problem than most guys admit, especially in today’s modern life-style of

    1. High stress
    2. Bad foods and pollutants
    3. Too much radiation from electronic devices.

All causing an imbalance in your hormones.

In fact, statistics show that 20% of men in their 20’s have ED, 40% of guys in their 40’s, 60% of men in their 60’s and so forth.

    Erectile Dysfunction Defined

Erectile dysfunction, or ED, is the “inability to achieve or sustain an erection, suitable for sexual intercourse.”

This doesn’t mean you have to be completely “impotent”, where you can’t even get hard.

And this also includes times when you physically feel fine, you’re still horney, and you can get erections,… but something is happening in your BRAIN that causes you to “go limp”, either before or during intercourse.

Unfortunately, your penis has a mind of its own and there’s never one simple answer.

The truth is, “ED” problems are not just experienced by “older guys”. Young guys deal with it as well. It’s called “performance anxiety” because they’re thinking about it too much.

They don’t have enough experience or confidence or something else “emotionally” is happening, which causes the penis to not work like it *should* or in private when you’re masturbating and everything seems perfect!

If “ED” problems happen once in a while, then it’s not a big deal. It’s normal and it happens to all men at some point.

However, if it happens more often than you’d like, then this can be a “warning” sign of health problems.

    What Causes Erectile Dysfunction?

So, there are a lot of reasons for erectile dysfunction.

As I said, your penis has a mind of its own and sometimes, it’s completely disconnected from your “big brain”.

    Erectile Dysfunction

There are “medical” causes, such as certain drugs — prescription, marijuana, alcohol, tobacco, stimulants (caffeine), etc. — This can affect any man, at any age because these drugs lower your testosterone and/or cause blood flow problems.

Then “physical” causes, such as poor blood flow, chronic illnesses, fatigue, wearing a condom, etc. — happen more to older guys.

There are also “emotional” causes, such as feeling insecure, lack of experience, worrying about stress, performance anxiety, problems with your partner, etc. — This can happen at any age. Stress is more for “older” guys, while anxiety is more for “younger” guys.

Finally, there are “hormonal” causes, such as low testosterone, high estrogen, prolactin, progesterone, and cortisol levels — This used to be more towards “older” guys, but these days it’s affecting younger guys as well, as early as their mid 20’s.

However, almost all the “causes” – whether physical or emotional – cause a NEGATIVE change in your hormones!

    What Are The Solutions?

The solution has to be based on the PROBLEM.

Now, if the problem is emotional, then this is something you need to personally examine by having an adult conversation WITH YOURSELF!

If you’re feeling anxiety or low confidence or something similar, I guarantee that the person you’re with is also having similar thoughts and feelings. TRUST ME, we all have insecurities and women have even more than men.

    Erectile Dysfunction

Please STOP beating yourself up about it. Focus more on the other person. Give more to them. Use your mouth, tongue, and fingers. She’ll appreciate it very much and you’ll give your brain a break and let more blood flow to your penis.

Remember, even emotional issues such as anxiety or depression cause a NEGATIVE change in your hormones, which manifests in physical symptoms such as erectile dysfunction.

Stress and worry are NOT your friends and will lower your testosterone and decrease blood flow.
