If you’ve seen my previous articles, you know that hormonal imbalances are a primary cause of erectile dysfunction and a decrease in your libido and sex drive.
However, most people don’t realize that having high blood pressure ALSO causes erectile problems.
In fact, high blood pressure also causes a decrease in libido and loss of interest in sex for women as well!
This is important to know because, in 2024, 33% of Americans over the age of 20, have high blood pressure. And 90% have hypertension by age 65.
What’s even worse, 72% of people don’t even know they have high blood pressure.2
So statistically speaking, if you’re watching this video … you probably do NOT have “optimal” blood pressure levels.
And if you’re experiencing any form of erectile dysfunction … or a decrease in your libido …
Or you simply want to improve your “performance” in the bedroom, it’s extremely important that you support healthy blood pressure.
Hypertension & Physical Causes
Blood vessel damage from high blood pressure (HBP or hypertension) reduces blood flow throughout your body.
Lower blood flow to the pelvis can negatively affect the sex lives of both men and women.
Men – High Blood Pressure and Erectile Dysfunction
In a man, the effects of high blood pressure on sexual function are more physically apparent than they are in women. Erectile dysfunction happens when there’s not enough blood flow to the penis to allow for an erection.
Basically, a common cause of erectile dysfunction (impotence) is damage to the lining of the arteries to the penis. Because of this, there’s less blood getting to the penis and thus, you end up having a “limp dick”.
Blood pressure can damage your arteries by causing them to become thicker, or even to burst. This can restrict blood flow to your penis, which can cause impotence.
Women – High Blood Pressure, Loss of libido & Interest
Women with high blood pressure may have lower libido and less interest in sex, especially if the condition is contributing to fatigue.
If a woman’s blood flow to her vagina is reduced, it may also affect how her body responds both before and during intercourse.
Blood Pressure Drugs and Impotence
So if high blood pressure wasn’t bad enough for your sex life, the typical solutions are even worse!
Unfortunately, most doctors will simply prescribe blood pressure drugs, which are known to cause erectile dysfunction.
In fact, it’s estimated that over 70% of men who take blood pressure medications, decide to get off of them because of these negative side effects.
Natural Solutions
As I’ve stated in all of my videos, you do NOT need to take drugs to help fix your health challenges. Nature already has the solutions.
So whether you’re a man or woman and you want to improve your sex drive, and libido and help fix any erectile problems, make sure you optimize your hormones and support healthy blood pressure.
