Video Summary
Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra are all Phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. They also boost nitric oxide levels.
They are vasodilators and serve the same function and that’s to increase blood flow.
This CAN mean better erections for some men.
Viagra (Sildenafil)
Viagra is fast-acting. It takes about 15-45 minutes to start working and will last about 4-12 hours based on the dosage.
Most of the effects wear off in about 4-5 hours.
Viagra needs to be taken on an empty stomach. Ideally about 2 hours after a meal or an hour before a meal.
I always suggest starting with the lowest, which is 25 mg.
Cialis (Tadalafil)
Cialis is the longest-acting PDE-5 inhibitor. It takes about 30-60 minutes to take effect and lasts about 24-36 hours.
This one can be taken with food, even though it does work better on an empty stomach.
Cialis usually comes in 20 mg tablets. Again, start low, like 5 mg.
Levitra (Vardenafil)
Levitra is in the middle of Viagra and Cialis. It lasts a little longer than Viagra by 2-5 hours, but much shorter than Cialis.
Honestly, I don’t even see the point of this drug.
Which One I Should Choose?
You’re Sure You’re Going To Have Sex
If you know for sure you’re going to have sex and want fast results, then take Viagra.
Just take it at least 30 minutes before sex… Up to even 1-2 hours is fine too since it’ll be in your system for at least 3-4 hours.
Remember, take it on an empty stomach and start low – 25 mg is fine.
Keep in mind that because Viagra is fast-acting, the side effects are also more pronounced.
If You’re Not Sure
Cialis is best used if you’re not sure if or when you’re going to have sex.
You’ll take Cialis earlier in the day, “just in case” you get lucky. It’s like “insurance”.
Cialis’ side effects are the same as Viagra, but since it’s slower acting, the negatives are more subtle.
Can I Mix The Two
Some people have asked if they can mix Viagra with Cialis?
Yes, you can. But for sure use a lower dose of both, since there’s an additive effect.
The Big Problem With These Drugs
These drugs don’t work in about 45% of men.
And the older you are, the less effective they are.
The higher your testosterone levels and the better your hormonal balance, the better these drugs work.
In fact, IF you had optimal hormonal balance, and higher total and free testosterone levels, you wouldn’t even need these drugs.
And if you did use them, they would work much better at a lower dose and thus, fewer negative side effects.
When you have optimal hormonal balance and testosterone levels, you’ll perform better in bed, have harder, fuller erections, have a higher libido and sex drive, feel more confident, and be in a better positive mood.
These drugs work for mechanical reasons. They do nothing for increasing libido or sex drive. They do NOT fix the real problem.
And if you don’t optimize your testosterone levels NOW, things will only get worse as you get older, and eventually, these drugs won’t work at all.
